Random Linkin Park Info

Over the years, a lot of random information has emerged about Linkin Park, the band members, collaborations, songs and more.

Chester can't mime.

Mike claims that he can't freestyle, but when he does, he's actually pretty good at it.

At a live show in Tuscan in 2003, Brad and Joe swapped instruments to play the song "A.06".

During some of the 2004 Meteora World Tour live shows, Brad and Phoenix swapped instruments to play "Nobody's Listening".

One Step Closer has been performed as the closing song at every show the band has ever performed (As Linkin Park - Not alot is known about pre-LP shows) except for their Live8 performance in 2005.

"Nobody's Listening" was the final song to be recorded for Meteora (The Street Team recieved Meteora promo covers without Nobody's Listening listed on it). The song was finished during the mixing process, in which Chester had to redo his entire vocals for the song, due to illness.

During the 2004 Meteora World Tour the band got fans to play "Faint" live on stage at each show.

My December was recorded in a studio in Nashville, in 2000. It was originally recorded for inclusion on KROQ's Slim Santa CD.

The first time Linki nPark ever performed My December was at KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas 2000.

"One Step Closer" is one of Chester's least favourite songs.

Mike recorded a track with DJ Vice in 2001 called "Freestyle"

Mike and Chester recorded a track with Handsome Boy Modeling School in 2004 titled "Rock and Roll (Could Never Hip Hop Like This) Part 2, for inclusion on their 'White People' album.

Rob recorded drums on a track with Dan The Automator in 2004. This track has never been released.

Chester recorded a track written by Jonathan Davis (of KoRn) for inclusion on 2002's "Queen of The Damned" soundtrack.

Chester recorded backing vocals for the chorus of "Karma Killer" by Cyclefly, off of their 2002 album 'Crave'

Chester recorded a version of Nine Inch Nails' "Head Like a Hole" with KoRn, for inclusion on their as-yet-unreleased 'Korn Kovers' CD.

Chester recorded a track with DJ Lethal (of Limp Bizkit) entitled "State of the Art", originallt scheduled for Lethal's now scrapped solo Project. The track debuted on KROQ radio's 'Scratch-and-Sniff' program in 2004.

Chester recorded vocals fora track with The Visionaries. This track has never been released.

Chester performed "Dead and Bloated" and "Wonderful" live with Stone Temple Pilots on the Family Values 2001 tour, for Scott Weilands birthday.

Chester performed "Head Up!" live with the Deftones during the 2001 US to Europe tour.

Chester performed a live rendition of Pantera's "Walk" with Disturbed on the Ozzfest tour in 2001.

Chester performed "Fiction" live with Orgy at The Vault in October 2004.

Linkin Park performed a live cover of Jane's Addiction's "Jane Says" at the IMP Hall in Japan on May 15th 2001.

Linkin Park performed a live cover of the Deftones' "My Own Summer (Shove It)" throughout their Projekt:Revolution 2002 tour.

Linkin Park performed a partial live rendition of Guns N' Roses' "Sweet Child O' Mine" at a few shows in 2001, and again on the Projekt:Revlution 2004 tour.

Linkin Park performed a live cover of Nine Inch Nails' "Wish" during their Projekt:Revolution 2004 tour.

Linkin Park performed a partial cover of Jet's "Are You Gonna Be My Girl?" at a 2003 Christmas show.

Linkin Park performed a partial cover of OutKast's "Fresh N' So Clean" at KROQ's 9th Annual Weenie Roast in 2001.

Linkin Park performed a cover of Liam Lynch's "United States of Whatever" during a BBC recording session in 2003.

"Part of Me" was written around a sample of a car alarm recorded by Brad.

Phoenix has 2 tattoos, one on each shoulder.

Joe has an alter-ego named Remy, who can be heard at the beginning of "Fuse".

Team Sleep remixed My>Dsmbr, but it was considered "too dark" for Reanimation.
